Last night Xuen and I were trying to make our first cupcake for the school party themed ‘ Color My World and Cake Party’.  Children are required to bring a slice of cake of different shape, color and flavor.  I found a simple recipe from Google ( recipe shown as below).

Ingredients:

1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup butter, softened
1 1/4 cups sugar
2 eggs
3/4 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method:

Put all ingredients into a big bowl and use an electric hand mixer to blend all ingredients until smooth. Pour into the paper cupcake holder. Bake at 180° for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown or use a cake tester inserted in the center comes out clean.  For topping, I used butter, good quality cocoa melted it over a very low heat pan. Lastly spread on the top of cupcakes and sprinkle it with colorful sugar rice.
