For this summer school holiday, I had prepared a fun wood peg painting activity that is suitable for children aged 4 and above. The wood peg is a small object that can be used to train a child’s concentration, imagination and eye hand coordination.

The materials used here are regular wood pegs and non-toxic, child safe paint. After the pegs have been decorated, I would spray a light coat of shellac, to prevent the paint from running.

It is a fun leisure activity, where children can sit together and draw on their creativity to create beautiful toys or decorative items.

My two year old daughter loves to play with the decorated pegs. Playing with them stimulates her imagination. S7305257ppegging

Pegging also helps her develop her finger muscles for writting skills later.
