My daughter is now 2 years old. Everyday, she wakes up eager to learn new things. When she was younger, I used flash cards with large pictures to stimulate her mind. Now that she’s a bit older, and has a longer attention span, I think it’s time I introduced the alphabets to her. Most of the store bought flash cards are expensive. So I decided to make my own. Making your DIY flash cards is very cheap and easy. Also, you can replace them if your child defaces any.

All you need is:

a) a marker pen

b) A4 sized colored paper

c) some clear holders

Teaching Method:

1) Introduce one to two letters a day. Depend on the child’s level.

2) Flash the card to the child three times a day.

3) Repeat flashing the same card to the child on the next day to check if  the child can recognize the letters he learned.

4) When the child can remember the letters he had learned, only then introduce another new letter to him.
