Cashew nut baby food

As a new mother, preparing baby food is a daily activity. I do not believe in commercially prepared baby food. As such, I have had to do a lot of research, read many books just to identify what’s best for my daughter. Not only must the food be nutritious, but it also has to taste good. Otherwise, my daughter would reject it. The biggest joy of the day is when she tucks in every last bite of the prepared food. Once, for a short period, she rejected my food. I just had to strive a bit harder to cater to her tastes. Only then did I learn her likes and dislikes. One of the recipes she likes is a boiled cashew nut dish.

Cashew nuts are a great source of protein, fiber, potassium, vitamin B and folate.

This is the recipe:

Ingredients: 6 to 8 cashew nuts, 6 flowers of broccoli, few slices of carrot,100g of minced meat (chicken or pork), 1 small pcs of chopped garlic.

Preparation procedure:

1)Marinate the meat with a pinch of salt.

2)Soak the cashew nuts for 20 minutes then boil until soft.

3)Throw in the broccoli and boil it till soft. Not too long. You don’t want to lose all those nutrients.

4)Fry  the garlic then put in the meat. Stir fry until the meat is cooked.

5)Put everything into a blender and blend it. For children who can chew, you need not blend the food.
